High Temperature Protection

Our Black Slag Fiberglass Fabric is superior for utilization in tough welding applications because it provides long lasting protection from sparks and grinding as well as being highly resistant to abrasion. As a curtain and blankets, Black Slag Fiberglass Fabric can be used for light to medium spark protection.

The Black Slag Fiberglass Fabric comes in 40 mil thickness with a material weight of 21 ounces per square yard. It has a heat resistance up to 1100° F. When it lies at a 25° or larger angle, it can shed molten splatter that reaches temperatures up to 3000° F.

This material is commonly applied as welding curtains, blankets, and welding screens. This fabric should not be used for stress relief or heat treating.

There are additional Welding Blankets and Fabric by the Yard and Roll in heat resistant materials that range from 300° F with Acrylic Coated Fiberglass up to 2300° F in Silica. Other materials include Silicone Coated Fiberglass, Gold Slag Fiberglass, Aluminized Fiberglass, Heat-Treated Fiberglass, and Vermiculite Fiberglass.
