Aluminum Fiberglass is used for heat reflective curtains and shields available with two different sides. The fiberglass side can handle temperatures up to 1000° F being extremely abrasion resistant. The aluminum foil side will withstand temperatures up to 300° F. It utilized in cases where heat must be reflected. The material is made from 20 oz of fiberglass with a thin layer of aluminum foil that is laminated on one side. The fabric is 35 mil thick with a color of silver/tan. It is often used as a flange or vapor shield or for removable insulation pads. The material is resistant to most solvents, acids, and alkali (not hydrofluoric acid).
