Tarps Now provides Super Heavy Duty White 38 oz Sound Blocking and Fire Retardant Vinyl Material that blocks both outside noise and light. The 34 Mil thick fabric is flexible, high density, and reinforced resisting the passage of sound waves while delivering a reduction in airborne noise has an STC 17 Rating. This is ideal for an application directly to the noise source or to the housing surrounding the source of the noise.

Our super heavy duty material is often used behind drywall panels in homes, offices, and industrial settings to helps in supressing noise. Additional productive functions include sound blocking in walls and floors, fill gaps around doors and windows, to line duct work, wrapping columns and pipes, portable sound blankets, noise control curtains, and sewn into or heat laminated with decorative window and wall coverings.

The Soundproofing material can be combined with acoustical foams, glass fiber, mineral fiber, or ceramic fiber insulation to creating lightweight and effective composites delivering high transmission losses across a wide frequency range. The super heavy duty fabric has an NFPA 701 fire rating.

While being relatively thin, the incredibly strong sound blocking and fire retardant vinyl fabric will not shrink, rot, or experience metal corrosion. It will also resist water, fungus, mildew, antimicrobial agents, oils, alkali, and acids. The white sound blocking fire retardnt vinyl material is available in 60” wide by 15-yard rolls.
