This Rawhide Mallet cushions the blow when striking and setting the grommet, and is core for use in grommet setting tools. 

When setting your grommets, it's best to use a Rawhide Mallet when cutting the grommet hole with impact on the punch head at a 90 degree angle.

Use a block of wood or a cutting pad under the material for a clean cut to keep from damaging the setting tool.
