High Temperature Tarps and Covers

Tarps Now offers a full line of heat resistant blankets, high-temperature tarps, and other high-heat resistant shields and covers. There are many industrial and professional applications that require tarps and covers that can resist combustion even at extremely high temperatures. Using the correct product is important to the safety of the workers and those in the area of construction, welding, and more.

Our high-temperature tarps are ideal for the transportation of asphalt commands the material to be covered by a high temperature, flame retardant tarp. Other applications for high-temperature tarps and covers include storage of equipment in extreme weather. Some of the tarp materials also resist damage from chemicals and are useful in manufacturing, industrial, and laboratory situations for protection.

High heat resistant tarps and blankets can be made from several different materials including acrylic, aluminized, black and gold slag, silicone, silica, and RFL (Resorcinol Formaldehyde Latex). Each type of material offers unique benefits for specific applications of the heat-reflective tarp. RFL tarps are made of specially treated heavy-duty canvas and are particularly useful in applications involving work with asphalt. RFL material can withstand scalding even at extremely high temperatures and won't stick to asphalt.

For applications that involve storing, covering, and protecting equipment for long periods of time, canvas high-temperature tarps are useful. Because canvas is naturally breathable, it allows airflow around the equipment to reduce the risk of combustion.

Vinyl tarps are lightweight and versatile. They are often used on construction sites to cover and protect structures and scaffolding. Several types of heat resistant tarps can serve as protective curtains during welding operations to protect the welder, area, and equipment from spatter and sparks.

Heavy Duty High-Temperature Tarps

When you are deciding which heat resistant tarp covers will work best for your application, it is important to know that materials have different heat limit specification. Tarps made from acrylic coated fiberglass material can withstand temperatures up to 300°F. Silica fabric meets military specifications for resistance to heat and chemicals and is rated to withstand temperatures up to 1,800°F. Because of this extremely high-temperature resistance, silica works well as a welding blanket, furnace curtain, and other applications that require protection from extreme heat. Most often, it is used to protect welders from slag and molten spatter. Silica fabric also has an extremely high tensile strength of 220/110 lbs/in.

Most of our heat welding poly tarps are available in several sizes and fabric grades so you can choose the exact specifications for your project. All of the high-temperature tarps from Tarps Now are made in the USA so you can feel confident in the value and quality. These covers are custom made to order and include double-stitched hems and seams for durability. The high-temperature tarps include rugged grommets around the perimeter, usually spaced about 24 inches apart to help tie down and secure as necessary. Whatever need or application, you can find the right high-temperature tarps, heat reflective tarp, reflective tarp for roof, heat blocking tarp, and more at Tarps Now.
